Krystal shows you how to achieve a “show” look that is manageable for your clients, and won’t break their wallets! GroomTeam USA member and Springer Spaniel enthusiast Krystal shares some of her secrets for setting lines, perfecting the elusive “tennis ball” foot, and the basics of stripping and carding the springer coat.

Shear Balance:

GroomTeam USA member Krystal Purcell gives you the basic lowdown on all things shear! she’ll show you the importance of thumb and finger guards, explain the differences between thinners, blenders, and chunkers, and tells you how you can improve your scissor technique just by holding your shears differently.

Confessions of a mobile groomer:

If you’re considering leaving the brick and mortar behind in favor of a life on the road, come to this seminar for dos, don’ts, tips, and tricks. Kathryn was once an employee of a mobile business and has been operating her own mobile fleet in New England since 2015. Topics ranging from start up to employees to daily life as a mobile groomer will be covered!

Hand stripping. It’s for Pets Too:

In this two hour seminar Kathryn Dixon will teach you about hand stripping. From strip and clips to breed standard show trims, learn how to make the best of a coarse coat in any condition. We’ll cover must have tools, common techniques, understanding the coarse coat, and how to make any coarse coated dog- mutt or purebred look their best.

Grooming for Structure Demo:

As any beautician will tell you, every hair style doesn’t fit every face. The same is true in grooming- dogs come in 100 different shapes and sizes. In this demo Kathryn will detail how to evaluate the individual dog and groom to its strengths while honoring the pet parent’s requests.

It’s All About the Shape!

In this two hour hands-on seminar and workshop one of the nations top poodle handlers, Chelsay Paul-Grubb, will break down and simplify how to put an outline on your poodle. In this seminar Chelsay will go over puppy and adult show trims and continentals. Learn how to create all the right angles and get the most stylish and eye catching outlines on your dogs.
